Are you looking at buying a house? If so, you absolutely need a termite inspection before purchase. A good inspection will be able to determine if there is evidence of termite activity, or signs of previous treatments.

If you're using a traditional lender or getting a mortgage, they will require a "Wood Destroying Insect Report." Sometimes they might call this report a WDO / WDI. They may also refer to it as a Termite Clearance Letter, or Termite Report.
